This building is one of the registered tangible cultural properties, as is shown in the database of cultural heritage online.

Stone monument "Teiken Ryuson residence".「鼎軒柳村居住之地」

Teiken is the pen name of Ukichi Taguchi, and Ryuson is the pen name of Bin Ueda.

Bin Ueda is famous for his translation of Carl Busse's poem "Über den Bergen", which is included in his collection of translated poems, "Kaichioon". He lived at the former Taguchi residence for a period of time, and this monument was erected to commemorate that time. Inscribed in the calligraphy of Hasegawa Nyozekan, the inscription reads, "Teiken Ryuson residence".

This monument is located on the left at the end of the private road. Please do not enter the path further away as it is the property of a neighboring family. You cannot pass through.
